Reading: Students in the area of literature and informational texts will determine the theme or central idea of a text and how it is developed by key supporting details over the course of a text.
 
Writing: Students will engage the reader using appropriate transitions to clarify the relationship among ideas and concepts.
 
*Students will work on reading and writing curriculum while continuing to work on their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
Students will focus on the areas of whole number multiplication and division. Students will show an understanding of fractions, ratio and proportions as well as integers.
 
*Students will work on math curriculum while continuing to work on their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

Students learn Earth Science through topics such as:
  • Harnessing Human Energy
  • Thermal Energy
  • Populations and Resources
  • Matter and Energy in Ecosystems
  • Weather Patterns
  • Ocean Atmosphere and Climate
  • Earth's Changing Climate
Students will be introduced to a wide variety of topics that examine the interaction between different societies, cultures, and the exchanges that have taken place throughout history. These topics may include:
  • Geography
  • Mesopotamia
  • Egypt
  • China
  • Greece
  • Rome
  • Medieval Times
  • Renaissance
