7th Grade
The seventh grade curriculum scaffolds from the skills students have gained from sixth grade. As students have transitioned to middle school, identity and growth are a motif the curriculum will address and encourage this year. The genres to be covered, along with reading skills and strategies embedded in these genres, are as follows:
- Poetry
- Narrative Poetry
- Short Stories
- Historical Fiction,
- Non-fiction Informational Texts
