Dear Families of Louis Pasteur Middle School 67Q,

We are happy to announce a full-time, after-school program will be offered free of charge to our students during the 2017-18 school year.  The program will be offered through a collaboration with the Samuel Field Y on Little Neck Parkway, and it will take place at our school.  The program will be fully funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).  There will be a limited number of student seats available in the program.  Parents and students who are interested should plan to attend an information session on Tuesday, September 12th at 6:00pm in the MS 67Q Auditorium.  Further details about the program will be discussed at that time, and interest slips for the program will be accepted after that evening information session.

Depending on the number of students interested in the program, a lottery may be conducted to fill available seats on Wednesday, September 13th.  If a lottery is necessary, applications will be given out to students chosen in the lottery.  If a lottery isn’t necessary, all interested students will receive applications.   Students who sign-up for this after-school program are expected to report to the cafeteria and stay after-school every day until 5:30pm.  Also, students who sign up for this after-school program can still join the clubs, teams, and activities coordinated by staff from the school.  It is extremely important that interested parents and students attend the information session on Tuesday, September 12th at 6:00pm in our auditorium.  If you have any questions, please reach out to David Slotnick, the Program Director at the Samuel Field Y, by email at  You can also reach out to Jenny Cho, our Parent Coordinator, or a member of the Administrative Team prior to the evening information session if you have any questions.
